Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra passed through Andhra Pradesh on Friday.
Rahul Gandhi, who is currently on the walk in Karnataka entered Andhra Pradesh in Anantapur district.
He walked for 12 kilometers and re-entered Karnataka.
Rahul Gandhi is originally scheduled to continue his walk from October 18 to 21 in Kurnool district.
On Friday, when he entered Anantapur district, Rahul Gandhi had interacted with the Congress leaders from the state.
AP Congress president Sake Sailajanath had a brief talk with Rahul Gandhi on the arrangements being made in the state for his four-day yatra.
After this brief talk, Rahul Gandhi had asked for former minister and former APCC president N Raghuveera Reddy.
It was for the first time that Raghuveera Reddy had taken active part in the Congress in the recent past, particularly after his exit after the 2019 general elections.
Raghuveera Reddy too had a brief discussion with Rahul Gandhi, after which the Congress leader re-entered into Karnataka.
Raghuveera Reddy has been keeping away from the party activities. He is confined to his native village and is busy with his agriculture work.
There were rumours that Raghuveera Reddy would soon join the ruling YSR Congress, while he remained silent to those rumours.
With his appearance at the Rahul Gandhi’s yatra, it is now understood that the veteran Congress leader would remain with the Congress and is not willing to return to active politics.
