Tollywood’s top star and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan was already a millionaire even before entering politics. In the past, he himself said that he had paid nearly Rs 60 crore as income tax.
But how much wealth does Pawan Kalyan have now? To understand that, we need to go back a few years.
During the 2019 elections, Pawan declared in his affidavit to the Election Commission that his total assets were Rs 56 crore.
In the same affidavit, he mentioned that he also had debts of more than Rs 3 crore. He had even shown the advances taken from film producers as part of his liabilities.
By the time of the 2024 elections, Pawan declared that his assets had increased to Rs 164.5 crore. This means that in just five years, his wealth had grown nearly three times.
At the same time, his debts had also increased. According to the affidavit, he had liabilities of around Rs 65.76 crore.
A year after he submitted the affidavit, CNBC prepared a report estimating the value of his assets.
In the report released towards the end of 2025, the channel estimated Pawan Kalyan’s total wealth at around Rs 450 crore. Much of this wealth is believed to have come from his film career.
Interestingly, it is reported that Pawan took a much lower remuneration for the film Ustaad Bhagat Singh compared to his market value.
For this film, he is said to have charged only around Rs 25 crore, along with an additional Rs 5 crore advance that he had taken nearly ten years ago.
Currently, the Deputy Chief Minister is busy with the dubbing work of Ustaad Bhagat Singh.
After the film releases in theatres, he is expected to start another film under the direction of Surender Reddy.
Reports say that Pawan had already received an advance for this project several years ago.
