It appears Jana Sena Party chief and Andhra Pradesh deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan has turning out to be a virtual brand ambassador for the Bharatiya Janata Party across the nation.
During his recent campaign in the Maharashtra assembly elections, Pawan Kalyan sounded more hardcore Hindutva proponent than the saffron brigade itself.
Having previously supported selective BJP issues during the Andhra Pradesh elections, he has now embraced the party’s core themes more comprehensively.
He raised his voice on several issues which even the hardcore BJP leaders could not dare to speak out.
Rright from the abrogation of Article 370 in Kashmir to Sanatana Dharma and the Ayodhya Ram temple, Pawan highlighted nearly every key aspect of the BJP's platform in his campaign.
Pawan's alignment with the BJP’s agenda appears to be a calculated move.
He deliberately spoke about the issues which made him closely associated with the BJP’s ideological direction. His campaigning left no room for ambiguity, prompting discussions about his increasing alignment with the BJP at the national level.
Apparently, the BJP sees Pawan Kalyan as a critical ally for amplifying its agenda in Andhra Pradesh, especially in a future scenario involving simultaneous national and state elections.
With chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is not very keen on carrying on with the BJP agenda, Pawan has become the saffron party's key ally to carry its message to the grassroots.
By fully embracing and promoting BJP’s ideological platform, Pawan Kalyan not only solidifies his image as a saffron leader but also positions himself as a potential chief ministerial candidate in Andhra Pradesh, a move already endorsed by the BJP.
