Old Tiger Ramoji Rao Back In Action!

Media baron and chairman of Eenadu group Ch Ramoji Rao needs no introduction to the Telugu people.

Known for his stubborn attitude and efficient business management skills, this 83-year old tiger has not been in action for the last few months.

Apparently, Ramoji Rao thought he would hand over the reins of his business empire to his son and daughters-in-law.

So he has been keeping away from day-to-day activities of his business ventures and confining himself to only key decision making and final approvals of the board, so that he can have some rest in the life. Readmore!

But the Coronavirus pandemic has shaken Ramoji’s business empire from the bottom and it started crumbling from the top.

While Ramoji Film City which requires huge operational cost has plunged into a deep crisis, the Eenadu group, which is closer to his heart, has run into huge financial losses.

The largest circulated Eenadu newspaper had to follow other major newspapers in the country in not only pruning the staff, but also cutting down the circulation to minimise the losses.

Now that the shootings have commenced again, albeit on a lesser scale, the Ramoji Film City can be somehow brought back to activity, as there is a huge demand from Bollywood.

But it requires strong and cautious policy decisions apart from finding ways to mobilise money for operational expenses.

Similarly, there is a need to bring Eenadu back on track and restore its No. 1 position in the Telugu newspaper readership and circulation.

Under these circumstances, Ramoji Rao is learnt to have decided to forego his resting period and return to active role in his business.

Instead of confining himself to supervisory role, he has become active in regularly monitoring all the activities from morning to evening.

The media moghul is working out strategies to revive the glory of Eenadu business empire including overhauling the newspaper and its marketing.

Except day-to-day activities, Ramoji Rao is said to have taken all the other activities back into his hands.

Hats off to his commitment and dedication!
