YSRCP chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy strongly criticised Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and minister Nara Lokesh over what he called their “luxury lifestyle” under the coalition government in Andhra Pradesh.
He alleged that all three leaders are enjoying trips in special aircraft and helicopters while the state is sinking under heavy debt.
Questioning Lokesh’s foreign travel, Jagan asked whether it was necessary for a minister to go all the way to Colombo just to watch a cricket match.
Speaking to the media at Tadepalli, Jagan said Chandrababu Naidu has a special plane and helicopter, Lokesh also has a special plane and helicopter, and Pawan Kalyan too travels in a special plane and helicopter.
He pointed out that Lokesh is in Vijayawada at one time and Hyderabad the next, and even travelled to Colombo for a cricket match before returning to Vijayawada the very next morning.
Jagan compared Chandrababu’s attitude to a “dog’s curved tail” and questioned whether people holding responsible positions in the country behave in such a manner.
He asked why leaders need to travel abroad to watch a match when it can be seen on television. He said he himself watched the match on TV.
Accusing the government of wasting public money, Jagan said that while the state is heading towards bankruptcy due to mounting debts, those in power are enjoying luxury travel.
He alleged that Chandrababu keeps claiming the state is progressing, but said all such statements are lies.
