Of wives and hair-cutting: KTR vs Kavitha!

Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s son and state information minister K T Rama Rao is known for his witty comments on his social media platform Twitter.

Equally witty is his sister and former Nizmabad MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha, though she is not so active like her brother. Both of them are known for their witty banter in the social media, entertaining their fans.

On Friday, KTR tried to pass a funny reply to one of his followers on Twitter, but his comment received an equally funny and sharp comment from his sister Kavitha.

KTR’s follower Sharath Chandra sought to know from the minister whether the state government would be able to open the barber shops after April 20, when the relaxations announced by the Centre would come into effect. Readmore!

“Sir a sincere query: Any thoughts on opening barber shops or salons post 20 Apr? My wife is eager to try her hand on haircut and if that happens, I have a strong feeling I'll need to stay home even after the lockdown is lifted,” Sharath posted on the twitter tagging KTR.

In his witty reply, the minister cited cricketer Virat Kohli as an example and suggested: “When Virat Kohli could let his wife style his hair, why don’t you?”

The reply evoked a lot of applause from KTR’s followers who, too, shared their funny responses and complimented the minister for his sense of humour.

However, it was Kavitha who outwitted everybody with her sharp reaction.

“Annayya .. Bhabi ki kuda chance isthunnava (Brother, are you giving such chance to my sister-in-law as well)?!” she wondered.

Her response left the Twitterati in splits. It not only showed the humorous angle of Kavitha but also proved the intimacy between the brother and sister.

Now, it is KTR’s turn to retort!
