Rebel Star Prabhas is a well-known foodie, and many technicians and co-stars have often spoken about the feast-like meals he treats film units to.
Now, the actor has shared a story that takes his love for food to a whole new level.
During a recent video interaction with Santosh Sobhan, Manasa Varanasi and the team of Couple Friendly, shared by Telugu Filmnagar, Prabhas recalled a memorable incident from the sets of Adipurush in Mumbai.
One morning, Prabhas announced a “cheat day” on set and asked everyone to skip their regular food.
He promised to treat the entire team to special Chennai-style food. The unit happily agreed and waited.
But hours went by, and the food still didn’t arrive. Confusion started building on the set.
When the crew finally asked about the delay, Prabhas revealed the twist — the food was coming straight from Chennai.
While many assumed he had ordered from a Chennai-style restaurant in Mumbai, the reality was far more dramatic.
The food was freshly prepared in Chennai, packed in hot carriers, flown to Mumbai by air, and delivered directly to the shooting location — still warm.
Laughing about it, Prabhas said he simply loves original and authentic flavours, even if local alternatives are available. According to him, the long wait was completely worth it.
Though he enjoys Hyderabadi biryani, Prabhas revealed that he prefers the tangy taste of Chennai biryani even more.
Interestingly, his all-time favourite rice dish isn’t biryani at all. The actor has earlier revealed that his top pick is Royyala Pulav — a spicy prawn pulao rich with coastal flavours.
Clearly, when it comes to food, Prabhas doesn’t compromise — and doesn’t mind going the extra mile, or even taking a flight, to get the real taste.
