No Compromise Between TRS, BJP

Following intense speculations over the sudden visit of Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to New Delhi to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a host of Union ministers, the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders in the state seem to have got into a defensive mode.

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and Union minister of state for home G Kishan Reddy brushed aside these speculations of a secret understanding between the BJP and the TRS.

“There is absolutely no compromise with the TRS, whatsoever,” Kishan Reddy said in a press conference on Monday.

He said the BJP was confident of forming the next government in Telangana and as such, there would be no understanding with the TRS at all. Readmore!

Asked how KCR could get such quick appointments with Modi, Shah and other ministers, Reddy said the chief ministers getting the appointments of the Prime Minister and home minister was no big deal.

Asked what had transpired in KCR’s meetings with the PM and HM, Kishan Reddy said it would be better the question was posed to the chief minister himself.

The union minister found fault with the TRS government sponsoring the Bharat Bandh last week.

“It is not the bandh called by farmers, but KCR government against the Centre. The police had fully cooperated with the TRS government,” he said.

He sought to know why the Director General of Police had not arrested K T Rama Rao and Kavitha during the Bharat Bandh for blocking the national highways.

“Will the police allow the BJP rallies as well? The police should cooperate with the BJP’s future agitations in a similar manner,” Kishan Reddy argued.
