For his much-talked-about Thalaivar173, Rajinikanth has already seen two directors exit the project.
Initially, Sundar C was announced as the director, and the film was launched with considerable buzz. However, he stepped away within a week, reportedly due to differences over the script.
The project was then handed to Cibi Chakravarthy, but the latest reports suggest that he too has exited.
His final version of the script is said to have not met Rajinikanth’s expectations, prompting the team to continue the search for a new director.
Interestingly, a similar pattern played out with another proposed multistarrer featuring Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan.
Lokesh Kanagaraj was initially considered, but the plan reportedly changed after the response to “Coolie.”
Vivek Athreya was also in discussions before the project eventually went to Nelson Dilipkumar, who is currently helming” Jailer 2.”
