The name MAVIGUN may have attracted trolls on social media, but what about the concept behind it? Interestingly, no leader in the TDP has been able to clearly counter the proposal.
The idea of developing a Machilipatnam–Vijayawada–Guntur economic corridor extending up to Amaravati, which directly impacts the lives of nearly 60 lakh people positively, has not been effectively challenged.
Instead of debating the proposal itself, several TDP leaders have chosen to target YS Jagan Mohan Reddy personally.
Ministers such as Atchannaidu, Nimmala Ramanaidu and Payyavula Keshav did not respond to questions about MAVIGUN when asked by the media. Rather than addressing the concept, they resorted to personal criticism of Jagan.
Interestingly, many of them appeared to follow a similar script. The YSRCP believes the MAVIGUN idea is clearly troubling the alliance government and putting it under pressure.
