Jubilee Hills Coop Society polls turn a media war!

The upcoming elections to the prestigious Jubilee Hills Cooperative Housing Building Society, scheduled for next month, are shaping up into a high-profile contest with media-linked factions trading barbs and public challenges.

At present, the society is headed by B Ravindranath, son of TV5 chairman and Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) trust board chairman B R Naidu, who had defeated the faction led by NTV’s Narendra Chowdary in the previous elections.

In the 2021 elections, Ravindranath secured a landslide victory after accusing Narendra Chowdary of large-scale financial irregularities.

With fresh elections around the corner, both sides have once again begun attacking each other, turning the contest into what members describe as a virtual TV5 vs NTV battle. Readmore!

Ravindranath’s camp has convened a special meeting with society members on Sunday at N-Convention in Jubilee Hills, where it has invited Narendra Chowdary’s faction for a public debate.

The group challenged its rivals to substantiate the allegations being made against them, while simultaneously stating that NTV would not be allowed at the venue.

In response, Narendra Chowdary’s faction has called for a debate at the Press Club, claiming it is prepared to reveal a “full record” of alleged irregularities. However, that camp too has said that TV5 would not be permitted.

There is growing speculation among society members that Bollineni Srinayya may be brought into the fray this time. Sources indicate that he is likely to emerge as the presidential candidate from Narendra Chowdary’s side.

Bollineni Srinayya is a well-known builder with national-level recognition and currently serves as the President of the Builders Association of India. On the other hand, Ravindranath is expected to contest again from the B.R. Naidu camp.

With the election atmosphere heating up, members of the society are openly discussing the contest as a direct showdown between TV5 and NTV, rather than merely a routine housing society election.
