Public Talk: Dhurandhar 2 Vs Ustaad Bhagat Singh

Two big films released today. One is the Bollywood pan India film Dhurandhar: The Revenge and the other is the Telugu film Ustaad Bhagat Singh.

Let us see what social media says about both films, especially from those who watched both.

"Almost 4 hours of Dhurandhar: The Revenge thoroughly engaged, while a 2 and half hour UBS made see look at time thrice during the show", wrote a netizen.

"I watched Dhurandhar: The Revenge last night and today Ustaad Bhagat Singh. Surprisingly, both carried similar elements of patriotism but the former was epic while the latter is formulaic stuff. I could not enjoy UBS as Dhurandhar lingered in my mind for its quality, standards in filmmaking style and the overall class," wrote a netizen. Readmore!

"I walked out from interval while watching UBS. The reason is I watched Dhurandhar the previous night. Had I not watched that, I would have watched UBS fully," wrote another.

"I loved both the films. We should not see them with comparison here. How can we compare a biryani with a full meals plate? Both are of different taste and both are good on taste buds," wrote another.

"UBS is total fiction with low IQ levels in writing. It's made taking audiences for granted and assuming that one should make low class stuff to attract masses. But Dhurandhar: The Revenge on the other hand is made with higher IQ for serious audiences where the general masses also go mad watching it. No comparison between the two films," wrote another netizen.

"I am surprised both films had common elements like some guys working for the hero on the villain’s side," wrote another.

Another viewer wrote, "Dhurandhar: The Revenge stands out for its technical brilliance and gripping narration. Even if you are not comparing the two films, the scale and execution in Dhurandhar feels more international."

A neutral voice on social media said, "Ustaad Bhagat Singh works mainly for fans of the hero. If you go with that expectation, you will enjoy the whistles and mass moments. But if you expect a fresh story, it may feel routine."

Yet another comment read, "UBS has some entertaining moments and punch dialogues, but overall the film could have been tighter. The second half especially feels stretched."

Dhurandhar: The Revenge has reportedly bagged unanimous superhit talk from many quarters while Ustaad Bhagat Singh has largely received mixed to negative talk overall.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge is directed by Aditya Dhar with Ranveer Singh in the lead role, while Ustaad Bhagat Singh is directed by Harish Shankar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers with Pawan Kalyan in the lead.
