Dhurandhar 2 Earns Rs 44 Cr in Paid Previews

Dhurandhar: The Revenge, directed by Aditya Dhar, has hit theatres today, March 19, after holding paid preview shows on March 18.

The Ranveer Singh-starrer has made a strong start at the box office.

According to trade tracker Sacnilk, the film collected around ₹44 crore from preview shows alone. These earnings came from 12,292 shows across the country, with an overall occupancy of 46.7%.

The soundtrack includes recreated classics like Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s Dil Pe Zakham Khate Hain, Kishore Kumar’s Kabhi Bekasi Ne Maara, and Boney M’s Rasputin, among others. Readmore!

The film also features interesting connections to earlier projects. Yami Gautam appears in a cameo, and there are subtle links to Uri: The Surgical Strike, adding to the intrigue.

In the film, Ranveer Singh plays Jaskirat Singh Rangi, an Indian spy who goes undercover in Karachi under the alias Hamza Ali Mazari.

The story follows his rise in the Lyari underworld as he attempts to dismantle terror networks while seeking personal revenge.

The sequel brings back R Madhavan and Sanjay Dutt in key roles, along with Arjun Rampal and Sara Arjun.

The film has been released across India in multiple languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.

Produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, Dhurandhar: The Revenge has opened on a strong note, setting the stage for a big box office run.
