There is no need to debate whether “commitment” exists in the film industry or not.
Some people do ask for it, and it is up to the actresses to accept or reject. Many heroines who wait for opportunities have faced such situations.
One heroine, however, has come up with a different stand.
She is clearly saying no to commitment, but at the same time, she is offering to reduce her remuneration and give more dates if needed.
Recently, a film she acted in turned out to be a disaster. The hero, director, and producer faced heavy trolling. Even in that situation, she managed to gain some recognition, which worked in her favour.
Now, she was being considered for a role opposite a hero who had some success during the Covid period but has not had much luck since then.
Over time, he has also started doing other roles. While approaching her for the project, the makers reportedly also asked for “commitment.”
She politely refused. She told them that she had taken around â¹80 lakh for her recent film, and she was even ready to reduce it by â¹10 lakh.
She also said she could give more dates if required. But she clearly requested them not to ask for that “one thing.”
Unfortunately, she has not received any call from them after that. And there is no guarantee that she will.
