Senior actor Nagarjuna’s 100th film is progressing at a fast pace, but without much noise or publicity.
The film is being directed by Tamil filmmaker Karthik, while music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad. Senior actress Tabu is playing an important role in the film.
Apart from Tabu, the film will feature two young heroines. One of them is Sushmita Bhatt, who has acted in a few Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam films.
She earlier appeared in the Telugu film Natyam. Recently, the team completed a 10-day shooting schedule, and another schedule is set to begin soon.
During this next schedule, the second heroine is expected to join the shoot, though her name has not yet been finalised.
Nagarjuna is keen on finishing this landmark film quietly and quickly. There is no big hype or promotional buzz around the project so far, as the team is fully focused on completing the shoot smoothly.
While the exact genre has not been officially revealed, reports suggest that the film follows the popular “rags to riches” formula that has worked well in Tollywood.
However, the makers are said to be presenting the story in a fresh and contemporary backdrop, unlike earlier films with a similar theme.
The film is most likely to release before Dasara or around the Dasara festival, though an official release date is yet to be announced.
