A cryptic social media post by former YSR Congress Party MP V Vijay Sai Reddy has triggered intense speculation that he has once again taken a dig at YSR Congress party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
After maintaining a low public profile for a considerable period, Sai Reddy took to X (formerly Twitter) a couple of days ago with a strongly worded message, indirectly targeting the YSRCP leadership.
In fact, Sai Reddy’s tweet did not directly refer to Andhra politics but instead drew an analogy with events in Venezuela.
In his post, the former Rajya Sabha member cautioned public leaders who, according to him, were being held “hostage” by compromised inner circles.
He urging them not to believe the coterie and reflect on their future.
He questioned how the President of Venezuela and his wife could be taken from the presidential palace without resistance, despite the presence of a powerful military and security apparatus, attributing it to betrayal from within.
Within YSRCP circles, the tweet is being widely interpreted as a coded message.
Party leaders are debating whether Sai Reddy was attempting to send a warning or signal about impending political developments.
Some believe the post was intended as a subtle message to party leadership, hinting at serious consequences ahead.
The timing of the tweet has drawn particular attention, as it came shortly after media reports suggested that the Enforcement Directorate had issued notices to him in connection with the Andhra Pradesh liquor scam.
