Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy changed his stand within a day on the issue of movie ticket price hikes.
On Saturday, the minister said that the increase in ticket prices was done without his knowledge and that he had no role in the decision.
However, on Monday, after discussions held under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, he said that ticket prices were increased only after proper consultation.
Komatireddy Venkat Reddy clarified that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy does not interfere in the departments of other ministers, similar to former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy.
“We all sat together and discussed the issue in detail. Only after that was a decision taken on ticket price hikes,” the Cinematography Minister said, asserting that the move was done with his knowledge and approval.
