Whispers: Thaman Spoke Without Knowing Facts?

While speaking at the Akhanda 2 success meet, music director SS Thaman made a few comments about the film industry.

He said there is no unity in the industry, compared the situation to applying a Band-Aid after getting hurt, and questioned why problems are created at the last minute.

Listening to all this, one wonders whether he is fully aware of the real issue.

Who is actually responsible for the release hurdles faced by Akhanda 2? Is it the Telugu film industry? Definitely not. Readmore!

The problem arose due to long-pending dues that had been dragging on for years. At the right moment, the opposite party—interestingly, from Bollywood—filed a case. Tollywood had no role in this issue at all.

Leaving the legal matter aside, despite the film being sold at good prices in both theatrical and non-theatrical markets, the problems did not get resolved due to various reasons.

Even then, active producers in the industry like Naga Vamsi, Sahu, Sudhakar, Ravi Shankar, Dheeraj, and others extended both verbal and practical support.

Dil Raju did everything that was expected of him. There are also reports that Mango Ram went out of his way to help.

Financiers Bangaru Babu and Shobhan are said to have made significant sacrifices as well.

It was only because the entire industry came together to support the film that Akhanda 2 was finally able to release.

If Thaman has so much to say now, the question is why he did not attend the same-day media meet held by the producers. Did he turn up now only because Balayya was present?

Within the industry, there is quiet chatter about Thaman speaking without knowing the complete facts.
