A senior journalist heading a Telugu daily affiliated to the YSR Congress party headed by former Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, is believed to be making big money through real estate activities, taking advantage of his position in the media.
This journalist, who had earlier worked in the YSRCP’s media wing, had allegedly made a lot of money due to proximity to the powers-that-be, when Jagan was the chief minister.
After Jagan lost power in June 2024, he continued in the party post for some time, before returning to journalism by joining the media house in a big position. Since then, he has become all powerful, because of his affiliation to Jagan, sources said.
This gentleman has also incurred the wrath of the present Telugu Desam Party-led coalition government for writing negative stories without any adequate evidence and several cases were booked against him.
According to inside sources, this journalist was involved in a lot of real estate activity in and around Hyderabad.
“There are reports that he is now purchasing a luxurious 8,000 sq. ft. flat in the popular gated community My Home Bhooja, located in the prime area of Madhapur,” sources said.
Apparently, the flat belongs to the family of a prominent producer-distributor whose son is a big hero in the Telugu film industry.
“This pro-YSRCP journalist has bargained the flat for Rs 20 crore and is likely to strike the deal anytime from now,” the sources said.
