Sankranthiki, Crime Story, Rescue Mission: Anil Ravipudi

Director Anil Ravipudi, known for consistently delivering super hits and blockbusters, is gearing up for a wholesome entertainer, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, starring Venkatesh. The director shared that the title was chosen during the story development process and is justified by the setting of the film, which takes place during the Sankranthi festival.

Anil Ravipudi described the movie as more than just a typical film, highlighting that comedy is a challenging genre to handle. “Although the movie has adequate entertainment, it’s another unique attempt, after Bhagavanth Kesari. The plot involves a crime journey and a rescue mission, with a significant portion set in rural areas of the Godavari districts. The narrative takes an unexpected twist, adding layers of suspense as the story progresses in second half.”

The director emphasized that Venkatesh’s character in Sankranthiki Vasthunnam will be a departure from his roles in F2 and F3. “Venkatesh delivered a settled performance. When asked, he expressed his readiness to be part of all promotions. In fact, the promotional strategies paid off, generating extra buzz."

Anil Ravipudi also spoke about the crucial roles of Aishwarya Rajesh and Meenakshi Chaudhary. “Aishwarya played Bhagyam, Venkatesh’s wife and mother of four kids. She gave her career-best performance. Meenakshi’s character, designed to be glamorous, will also be pivotal in the storyline.” Readmore!

The director expressed his satisfaction with the film's music, particularly the chartbuster song Godari Gattu, which went viral and garnered over 50 million views. “The credit goes to the composer, Bheems, for his ability to create music that fits the movie's context effortlessly. He is a very localized composer.”

Finally, Anil Ravipudi shared his comfort working with producers like Dil Raju and Sahu Garipati, noting that this ease of collaboration has contributed to his continued partnership with their production banners.
