At a roundtable discussion, producer Boney Kapoor and actor Siddharth debated whether good cinema or star power drives a film’s success.
Boney cited Jr NTR as an example of a "new face" gaining nationwide acceptance, only to be corrected by Siddharth and producer Naga Vamsi, who pointed out Jr NTR’s superstar status in the south.
Boney argued that good cinema always prevails, using the 1981 film Ek Duuje Ke Liye as an example of a south film accepted in the north.
Siddharth countered, stating such long theatrical runs aren’t feasible today. Despite disagreements, Boney emphasized his belief in quality cinema transcending boundaries.
The roundtable sparked controversy, with some filmmakers criticizing Vamsi’s comments as disrespectful to Boney.
Meanwhile, Jr NTR is set to star in War 2 and Devara, while Siddharth and Boney pursue upcoming projects like Test and Maidaan.
