Jana Sena Party chief and Andhra Pradesh deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan has almost given up his film career after his party won the elections.
He has become busy as a deputy chief minister and is struggling to give time to the producers to complete his pending films.
But it appears the common people, especially youth, are yet to accept him as a full-time politician.
For them, he is still their hero – Power Star Pawan Kalyan (PSPK) and whenever he comes into the crowd, they cheer him as an actor.
It happened once again on Friday, when Pawan Kalyan visited Bagujola village in the Panasabhadra Panchayat of Makkavu mandal in Saluru Constituency, Parvathipuram Manyam District to oversee the ongoing road works.
The crowds who gathered in large numbers cheered him and shouted “Jai Power Star Pawan Kalyan.” As he began his speech, they also shouted “OG, OG,” referring to his upcoming film yet to be completed.
Needless to say, Pawan Kalyan got irritated.
“Let me work. If you crowd around me when I step out, I cannot accomplish anything. Shouting 'OG OG' won't get things done,” he said.
He also gave a piece of advice to the youngsters to focus on the development of their villages, rather than watching films.
“Getting carried away by movies and cheering for heroes makes you forget your responsibilities in life. Turning my mustache won’t make things happen," he said, expressing frustration.
Pawan Kalyan stated that he had prayed for the well-being of the state’s people when he climbed the Tirupati hills.
Pawan also recalled that during his 2017 protest march, he observed several issues in tribal areas, such as a lack of drinking water and roads, causing hardship for tribal people.
He criticized the YSRCP government, stating, "They built the â¹500 crore Rushikonda Palace but failed to construct roads here."
