The movie HanuMan became a sensation in 2024, but its success didn’t bring lasting happiness to its producer Niranjan Reddy and director Prashanth Varma.
The producer reinvested the profits into Double iSmart and lost completely, while two major projects planned with the hype from HanuMan were canceled for Prashanth Varma.
First, a Ranveer Singh project was halted in its early stages. Then, the much-anticipated Nandamuri Mokshagna project was also stopped abruptly, barely progressing beyond the opening ceremony.
Reports suggest Prashanth hesitated to proceed further, fearing a potential danger if the film were shelved midway. Consequently, he is stepping away from the project, as per sources.
Now, the question arises- who will star in Prashanth’s next film?
A collaboration with Rishab Shetty seems unlikely, as Shetty is tied up with two other commitments. Speculation points to a project with DVV Danayya’s son, Kalyan, under Prashanth’s supervision.
Ultimately, while HanuMan was a hit, it failed to ensure a smooth year for its team, leaving their 2024 journey bittersweet.
