Today, TV9 journalists, along with other members of the media fraternity, held a protest demanding justice for a journalist who was assaulted by Mohan Babu yesterday.
The victim, Ranjith, is currently undergoing treatment in a hospital, with doctors stating that plastic surgery will be required.
Rajnikanth from TV9 said, "This is not a minor thing. Mohan Babu assaulted him with a microphone. He needs plastic surgery, and food will have to be provided through a hole in his throat. The government should take action and file an attempt-to-murder case against Mohan Babu."
"Mohan Babu appeared to act with vengeance. Everyone has emotions, but Mohan Babu, a senior citizen aged 78, who has seen much in his career, should have controlled his emotions," Rajnikanth emphasized during his speech.
"Mohan Babu cannot escape by admitting himself to the hospital complaining an injury. He must apologize to the victim publicly. We also demand that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy introduce a law to protect journalists," he concluded.
