The NDA government is offering exceptional services to NRIs interested in investing in Amaravati’s real estate sector.
NRIs can enjoy hassle-free property purchases, with the government handling tasks like site inspections, legal advice, document preparation, Aadhaar alternatives, and registration.
To facilitate this, a 24/7 property facilitation center, managed by CRDA with AP NRT support, will be established.
While this initiative removes barriers for NRI investors, questions arise about the fees for these services.
The government’s claim of a strong NRI response to its programs justifies this arrangement, but it remains unclear if these services will be offered free of charge to encourage investment.
A pressing question, however, is why such critical services are exclusive to NRIs. Shouldn’t Indian realtors seeking to invest in Amaravati receive similar support?
By limiting these benefits to NRIs, the government seems to assume domestic realtors can manage on their own or are unwilling to pay for these services.
Alternatively, the government might expect NRIs to pay extra for a “safe deal,” boosting state revenues.
If the goal is to promote investments in Amaravati, shouldn’t the same support be extended to all?
