YSR Congress party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday sought to turn the tables on Telugu Desam Party led by chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu for the abusive and vulgar comments posted by YSRCP social media activist Varra Ravindra Reddy.
Speaking to reporters at his Tadepalli office, Jagan alleged that the TDP leaders themselves had created a fake ID in the name of Varra Ravindra Reddy and posted objectionable material dragging his family members.
“Chandrababu Naidu will stoop to any level for political mileage. It was the TDP leaders who had posted abusive and objectional comments against my mother and my sister on the fake social media ID of Varra Ravindra Reddy,” he said.
He had also shown a clipping on his sister Y S Sharmila stating that some posts against her originated from Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna’s house.
Jagan alleged that the Naidu government was targeting the YSRCP activists who are highlighting its inefficiency in social media.
“Our activists are being arrested, beaten up and detained illegally. The law and order has come to such a pass that some retired officers are helping them out and the police is working at their behest,” he said.
On the cases filed against film personalities like Ram Gopal Varma and Posani Krishna Murali, YSRCP chief said they had produced political films even on earlier occasions.
“Now, the Naidu government has filed a case on Ram Gopal Varma just out of political vengeance,” he said.
Jagan also pointed that cases were filed on our Nandigama Suresh and he is still in jail as multiple cases are being filed while he was not in town when the actual incident happened.
Eight cases were registered on our dalit MLA for complaining on gambling dens being organised in his constituency.
“Cases were booked against our leaders Kodali Nani, Ambati Rambabu, RK Roja and others for raising voice against the government,” he said.
