Kakinada MP Uday Secures Rare Opportunity

Kakinada MP T Uday Srinivas, popularly known as "T Time Uday," has achieved a rare political milestone that will remain a highlight of his career.

He was part of a distinguished delegation of Indian Members of Parliament visiting the United Nations after a decade, engaging in high-level meetings and discussions aimed at strengthening India’s role within the organization.

This delegation, comprising 10 MPs, marked a significant moment as Uday Srinivas became the first MP from the Telugu states to represent India at the UN General Assembly. This prestigious opportunity allowed him to showcase his commitment and dedication on an international platform.

Key highlights of the delegation's visit included discussions with France’s Permanent Representative, H.E. Mr. Nicolas de Rivière, on India-France multilateral cooperation, participation in a plenary on the ECOSOC report, and a briefing on peacekeeping operations. Readmore!

The MPs also met with representatives from the Stimson Centre, International Crisis Group, and senior UN officials to discuss topics such as the Pact for the Future, the UN’s administrative structure, and counterterrorism strategies.

In addition, the delegation received insights into UN budgetary operations, participated in the India-UN Fund annual event, interacted with the Indian diaspora, and observed UN electoral proceedings.
