Chintamaneni upset with Naidu’s 'soft' politics

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has often warned of taking strict action against officials who violated the law during the previous YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) regime.

While he has acted against some senior IAS and IPS officers involved in controversies during Jagan Mohan Reddy's tenure, lower-level officials at the district level seem to have escaped scrutiny.

Despite being jailed and released on bail after a tough legal battle, he continues to face 25 cases, with the state high court recently dismissing two for lack of evidence.

Chintamaneni criticized Naidu for not acting against the officials who allegedly harassed him.

“Those who filed cases against me are still holding their positions, some even promoted. What’s worse, our own party leaders have helped them secure key postings,” he lamented.

Former minister Palle Raghunath Reddy echoed similar concerns, stating he was booked in 14 false cases during the YSRCP regime. Despite the TDP coming to power, these cases remain unresolved, forcing him into prolonged legal battles.

The lack of action against lower-level officials continues to create resentment within TDP ranks, with leaders urging Naidu to address these grievances.
