As the Andhra Pradesh police have started digging deep into the abusive and obscene posts on social media by the YSR Congress party activities, they are learnt to have found some interesting information about such posts.
In the past, it was found that most of the posts by these YSRCP social media activists had posted such vulgar comments against Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu, his son Lokesh and others on their own, rather than under the directions of the party leadership.
“Take the case of Varra Ravindra Reddy from Pulivendula. Nobody told him to post such vulgar comments against the TDP and alliance leaders; or even Sharmila or Sunitha. He has done it on his own, out of his personal loyalty towards Jagan,” sources said.
Though media reports say Varra had done on the directions from Kadapa MP Avinash Reddy’s personal assistant Raghava Reddy, the police could not find any evidence.
“Varra is a cranky fellow. He never used to listen to anybody, including from the YSRCP leadership, while posting abusive posts on social media,” a source said.
So is the case with Punch Prabhakar, who lives in USA and makes abusive comments on social media against Naidu, Lokesh and others. He has nothing to do with the YSRCP.
Similarly, actress Sri Reddy does videos and makes vulgar comments against NDA leaders out of her affiliation towards YSRCP and Jagan.
Sources said Jagan has absolutely no control over these social media activists, who are his die-hard fans. They have nothing to do with the party nor do they expect any favours from Jagan.
“However, it was only after Sajjala Bhargav, son of YSRCP general secretary Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, took over as the in-charge of social media wing of the party, it has turned into an organised attack on Jagan’s political rivals,” sources said.
Since Sajjala was allotted big money to run the social media, he started paying good amounts to the social media activists and made them post abusive comments against Jagan’s political rivals, instead of using the medium for politically countering them, sources added.
