For quite some, there have been rumours in the media circles about a well-known media baron heading a Hyderabad-based Telugu media house being in relationship with a Tamil Nadu-based Telugu woman.
The latest rumour is that the media baron, who is in his sixties, has finally married the woman much younger to him and has moved to a bungalow on the outskirts of Hyderabad closer to the airport.
It is learnt the couple had even gone to Sri Lanka on a honeymoon trip and after their return, they settled on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
He has also used his influence to get her a prestigious post in the Andhra Pradesh government, but it did not work out, sources said.
The woman who is said to be both a doctor and a businesswoman, holds a prominent position due to her caste and political connections.
She is also well-known in media circles and has appeared in several interviews. Reportedly, this is how she first connected with the media baron.
The media baron, who lost his wife a few years ago, had been looking for a life-partner to sail with him for the rest of his life and apparently found this woman a suitable person. After being friends for several years, they decided to tie the knot.
Sources said his family members had not accepted his decision to marry her, though they had not raised any objection when they were living together all these days. Maybe, they were worried about probable property disputes in future.
Such relationships are not uncommon in political, cinema, and media circles.
As long as they remain private, no one pays much attention, but once they become public, they can turn into major news.
