Jumbo team of whips in Andhra assembly!

Normally, any ruling party will have a chief whip and two or three whips in the state assembly. But for the first time, Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister appointed a jumbo team of 15 whips in the state assembly on Tuesday.

While senior TDP legislator from Vinukonda G V Anjaneyulu has been appointed as the chief whip of the government in the assembly, as many as 15 whips were appointed along with him, including three from Jana Sena Party and one from the Bharatiya Janata Party.

The whips from the TDP include: Bendalam Ashok, Yanamala Divya, Bonda Uma, Datla Subba Raju, Dr V M Thomas, Thoyaka Jagadeeshwari, Kalwa Srinivasulu, Reddappagari Madhavi, P G V R Naidu (Gana Babu), Tangirala Sowmya and Yarlagadda Venkat Rao.

Besides, Arava Sreedhar, Bolisetti Srinivas and Bommidi Narayana Rao Nayakar from Jana Sena and D Adinarayana Reddy from BJP were also made the whips. Readmore!

In the state legislative council, TDP MLC Panchumarthi Anuradha has been made the chief whip, while Vepada Chiranjeevi Rao and Kancharla Srikanth from TDP and P Hari Prasad from Jana Sena have been made whips.
