"Neither I nor my family members have taken bribes from any one. I would rather die than accept bribes," he declared.
These words reminded the party workers of similar statements made by the leader in the past. Taken aback, they couldn't help but mutter in disbelief.
"My family and I have never been involved in corruption. In the past, I told you that if I ever did, you can hold my shirt and question", he said.
