Devara BO Day 11: Jr NTR Film Crashes Badly

Headlined by Jr NTR, Devara Part 1 was released worldwide in theaters on September 27.

Directed by Koratala Siva, the action drama also stars Janhvi Kapoor as the leading lady Thangam and Saif Ali Khan as the main antagonist Bhaira. Devara marks the Telugu debut for both Bollywood actors.

After grossing Rs 243.75 crore net (Rs 287 crore gross) in India and Rs 363 crore globally within its first ten days,

Devara experienced a significant drop on its second Monday, earning just Rs 4.9 crore on October 7, according to early estimates from the entertainment tracking portal Sacnilk. Readmore!

Despite the decline, the Koratala Siva directorial surpassed the global earnings of Fighter and HanuMan over its second weekend, becoming the fourth highest-grossing Indian film of 2024.

The top three spots are currently held by Kalki 2898 AD, Stree, and The Greatest of All Time.

With films like Vettaiyan, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Pushpa 2, Singham Again, and Game Changer,   yet to be released, the rankings could shift significantly by the end of the year.

Devara Part 1 is Jr NTR's first release following the Oscar-winning RRR, and will be followed by a second part.

However, fans will have to wait a bit longer for the sequel, as Jr NTR is set to focus on his next project with Prashanth Neel.

Tentatively titled NTR 31 or NTR Neel, the film is scheduled for release on January 9, 2026. Neel is known for directing the blockbuster KGF films and Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire.
