Producer Ashwini Dutt released this movie worldwide on his own with huge advance rates. So the question is, how successful will it be? Another question is whether Nag Ashwin will reach Pan-India level with this movie or not.
Everyone who saw the movie appreciated Nag Ashwin's direction and visuals. All the celebrities are praising Nag Ashwin. Therefore, there is full clarity in that matter. No doubt, Nag Ashwin is now at the top position among Telugu directors.
There were comments that the movie will not reach the B&C centers after its release. But there was a twist in this. The social media war started on the topic of who is great between Arjuna and Karna.
Such discussions, including the original character of Ashwatthama, whether he is good or bad have started. Seeing all this, people inquired why this was happening, and the topic of the film Kalki got penetrated more.
With that, interest in watching Kalki increased. Consequently, the collections grew significantly. A 40 crore share has already been acquired in Nizam. And if you add Sunday’s collections, it will reach 50 crores. That means if another twenty crores are collected, the advance of 72 crores taken will be covered.
Advances to the tune of 90 crores have been taken in Andhra. There is a possibility of falling a little short. The reason for that is the ticket prices. Ticket rates are likely to be reduced from Monday or Tuesday. If that happens, the movie collections might stabilize there again.
Meanwhile, the film is gaining good momentum in the North Belt and overseas markets.
On a whole it can be stated that Arjuna and Karna are saving the film from not dropping down, along with Ashwaththama!
