Jagan Needs To Strengthen SMW Before The Party

Pro-YCP social media handles have disappeared for several reasons. While hardcore fans who truly believe in the party remain, the issue is compounded by the reliance on social media personnel in paid positions and the lack of support for these handles when faced with legal cases.

Additionally, with the Alliance now in power, there is growing fear among those managing these handles about potential repercussions.

However, problems arise primarily from the use of abusive language, spreading false propaganda, and intentionally obscene language. As long as issues are communicated with reasonable language and expression, there should be no problem.

The YCP needs a coherent social media strategy to convey the truth effectively. By contrast, the TDP has numerous digital portals and hardcore fan handles that operate with journalistic precision around the clock. Readmore!

The YCP requires a robust social media team. Supporters should be mobilized and trained in social media strategies to effectively counter accusations and criticisms. Hardcore fans, both domestically and abroad, need to be re-engaged and rallied to the YCP cause.

Before the elections, under Jr. Sajjala’s direction, social media campaigns focused on mudslinging rather than providing reasonable and detailed justification. Without a proper mechanism, false propaganda can easily be perceived as the truth.

For instance, while both the TDP and YCP engaged in similar practices, such as acquiring land for Rs 1000 per acre and constructing buildings, the narrative often suggests that only the YCP engaged in these activities. Currently, there is no strong voice from the YCP to combat such allegations.

Therefore, the YCP must strengthen its Social Media Wing (SMW) to better manage the party's online presence and counteract misinformation.
