Andhra reports 67 Corona cases in 24 hours!

In what can be an alarming situation in Andhra Pradesh, as many as 67 positive cases of Coronavirus were reported in the state within 24 hours.

As many as 43 positive cases were reported in the state between 9 pm on Tuesday and 9 am on Wednesday. But an evening bulletin said there were no fresh positive cases till 7 pm and all the samples that were tested since morning turned out to be negative.

But the figure suddenly shot up again in the night. According to 10 pm bulletin by the AP government, another 24 cases were reported, taking the overall number of positive cases in the state to 111, apart from the two cases of patients who had already been discharged last week.

YSR Congress president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy said out of 87 positive cases reported till evening, 70 cases were of those who had returned from Markaz in Delhi and their contacts. 

“On the whole 1085 persons attended Delhi prayer meeting and we have tracked and taken samples of 585. While 70 people tested positive and 500 results are yet to come and 21 people are yet to be traced,” the chief minister said.
