New record for Chintamaneni in criminal cases!

Telugu Desam Party leader and former MLA from Denduluru in Eluru district Chintamaneni Prabhakar is not only a popular leader in his constituency, but also notorious for his criminal background.

Known for his rude behaviour towards the officials, as was evident from the way he pulled the hair of mandal revenue officer Vanajakshi during the previous TDP regime and also attacks on his political rivals, Prabhakar has been in the news for all the wrong news, irrespective of whether the TDP was in power or in the opposition.

On Friday, Pedavegi police registered a criminal case against Prabhakar for creating ruckus at Pedavegi police station a day before.

The former TDP MLA arrived at the police station along with his followers and despite the resistance from the police, he took away from the police station his supporter Talluru Rajasekhar. Readmore!

The TDP worker had been arrested on the charge of assaulting a YSRC agent in a polling booth at Koppulavari Gudem on May 13. The police produced him before a court, which sent him for remand.

Following the highhanded behaviour of Prabhakar, the police booked a criminal case against him under sections 224 (Obstruction by a person to lawful apprehension). 225 (Resisting lawful arrest of another person), and 353 (Obstruction of public servants).

Eluru Superintendent of Police Dasari Mary Prashanthi said two special teams have been formed headed by a circle inspector-level officer to trace Prabhakar and other accused in the case.

Already, 93 cases have been registered against Chintamaneni Prabhakar in various police stations. This is the 94th case against him.
