Negative Campaign Is Not Good for AP

The TDP has a special style and strategy of pushing forward its line of thought, mostly in its favour for its political prospects.

The party leadership, particularly from the time Chandrababu Naidu usurped power in August 1995, the party has an innovative way of taking its “word” in its own “format” to the people. The strategy is to make people believe what it tells or propagates.

It had unleashed a campaign against Jagan Mohan Reddy that he had amassed wealth to the tune of Rs 1 lakh crore through quid pro quo when his father Rajasekhar Reddy was the chief minister.

The campaign made people to believe that Jagan Mohan Reddy had indulged in corruption of Rs 1 lakh crore. But the fact is that the CBI, ED and IT have only found properties worth Rs 1600 crore. This is how the TDP launches and spreads its campaign making people believe it. Readmore!

The campaign against one individual, Jagan Mohan Reddy, was acceptable as he is their rival and it is for Jagan Mohan Reddy to prove himself or face the punishment.

But, the dangerous of all the campaigns is what is happening in Andhra Pradesh these days.

To target the political rival, the TDP is spreading its malicious campaign against the State, to create panic among the people and think as if Jagan Mohan Reddy is failed and they voted for a wrong person.

Take for example, the sand issue that the TDP started its campaign against the government.

It is everyone’s knowledge that sand is not available during rainy season and there would be a slowdown in the construction activity.

In addition to this, the government was designing a new policy to avoid sand exploitation, a crime committed by the TDP leaders in the past.

Despite these facts, the TDP tried its best to make people believe that sand is not available and Jagan had failed.

The floods to river Krishna and the flood threat to Chandrababu Naidu’s rented house, which is located right in the river water, too were used by the TDP to throw mud against Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Now, having failed in all these and in an attempt to protect their investments in Amaravati, the TDP is spreading a malicious campaign as if industries are leaving the State and investors are running away.

The Kia Motors episode is one such malicious campaign that was aimed at causing panic among the people and turning them against Jaganmohan Reddy.

If the TDP continues such malicious campaign, it is the state that would lose the investment and not Jaganmohan Reddy or Chandrababu Naidu.

Such campaign might help Naidu to come back to power in the next elections, but it would certainly cause greater harm to the State as it would get the brand image of anti-investor and anti-industry.
