Naidu's Political Game, A Blow To Lokesh

TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu had played a political game to fix Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

He played very tough game in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council thinking that Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy would be in big trouble.

In fact, when the Legislative Council had sent the two crucial bills of the Jagan Mohan Reddy government to the select committee, the rank and file of the TDP had celebrated it.

A section of the Telugu media, which is loyal to the TDP chief had praised Naidu to the skies for the master stroke he had given to the young leader Jagan Mohan Reddy.

But, in reality, it turned out to be big blow to Naidu’s family and the TDP leaders.

Jagan Mohan Reddy, in retaliation, had tabled a resolution to dissolve the Legislative Council. This might take a few months for him to get the House dissolved.

The dissolution of the Legislative Council would render 29 TDP leaders unemployed. The key advisor of the TDP, Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, would lose his job, like many others.

But, the worrying point is that Jagan Mohan Reddy’s retaliation would also render Chandrababu Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh, politically unemployed.

Lokesh had lost the Assembly elections from Mangalagiri constituency. He would soon be losing the MLC seat if the House is dissolved.

Thus the missile had misfired and Lokesh would go jobless. He would be enjoying the MLC post till March 2023, a little over three years from now.

But, the political game, sometimes misfires, in politics and this is a clear example to prove this statement.
