Don't fall into YSRCP trap, Naidu tells TDP cadre

Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday accused the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) of deliberately provoking violence in the state to malign the government.

Addressing ministers and senior party leaders through a teleconference, Naidu alleged that YSRCP’s frustration over losing power was driving it towards destabilising tactics.

He criticised the YSRCP leaders for using abusive rhetoric, claiming their intent was to create turmoil.

Referring to the politically sensitive issue of alleged adulteration in the famed Tirumala Laddu prasadam, Naidu claimed that YSRCP had been “caught red-handed” in the controversy. Readmore!

He said the people of Andhra Pradesh were increasingly condemning the party, and that the opposition was attempting to divert attention from its “sins” through conspiracies and agitation.

Naidu reiterated that his government’s core agenda is attracting investments and ensuring long-term development.

He alleged that YSRCP leaders were uncomfortable with this shift and were deliberately creating obstacles through unrest.

The chief minister urged TDP workers to exercise restraint and not fall into what he described as YSRCP’s “trap.”

He stressed that those who commit wrongdoing would be punished strictly under the law, but warned that party workers should not take law into their own hands.

“YSRCP was born on the foundations of violence, destruction and corruption. If we fall into their trap, there will be no difference between them and us,” Naidu cautioned.
