Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who planned to dominate Telangana indirectly by joining hands with the Congress and two other parties to form Maha Kootami or grand alliance, has proved to be an iron leg for the alliance, if the talk doing rounds in the social media are to be believed.
According to these reports, candidates belonging to Maha Kootami lost in all the constituencies wherever Naidu had campaigned, including Khammam, Rajendranagar, Kukatpally, Sanathnagar, Serilingampally, Khairatabad and Jubilee Hills.
“In fact, the Congress won in those constituencies where Naidu did not go. The TDP also won in two seats – Sattupalli and Ashwaraopet only because he did not campaign,” a Congress leader said.
It clearly shows Naidu has turned out to be an iron leg for Telangana, as the people of the state did not like his involvement in Telangana politics, he said.
