Naidu pitches industrialist against Mithun Reddy

Though there is still two more years to go for the assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh, Telugu Desam Party president and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has already started identifying candidates for various constituencies.

On Thursday, Naidu announced the candidature of young industrialist Ganta Narahari for the Rajampet Lok Sabha constituency in the next elections.

He made the announcement while addressing the Mini Mahanadu programme at Madanapalle in Annamayya district.

Narahari, who hails from Rajampet, has been operating from Bengaluru all these years. Readmore!

He joined the TDP in the presence of Naidu only last week. He won the best young entrepreneur award from President of India in 2017-18.

Though Narahari is new to politics, his family has been in politics for a long time. He is closely related to D K Satya Prabha, wife of former MP late D K Adikesavulu Naidu.

It may be mentioned that Satya Prabha lost in the last assembly elections from TDP ticket in Chitoor. Satya Prabha later died of illness.

Narahari married Satya Prabha’s niece. Now that he has joined the TDP, he has been chosen as the TDP candidate for Rajampet.

While announcing the ticket for Narahari, the TDP chief also sounded warning to those who are lobbying for party tickets.

“I have the data of each and every candidate – those who are really working and who is lobbying for ticket without any work. I have been tracking the functioning of everybody in every constituency. I will decide who will get the ticket and who will not,” Naidu added.
