Chandrababu, kingpin of economic offences

Hyderabad: Terming Chandrababu Naidu as an economic terrorist who has been using his henchmen to plunder the common man’s money from the banks to butcher democratic institutions, YSR Congress has said that such people have no moral right to talk about democracy and demanded that YS (Sujana) Choudhary should be ejected from the Upper House.

Speaking to reporters here on Sunday party General Secretary C Ramachandriah said, ‘Chandrababu Naidu has been the kingpin of the ring of economic offenders and is a violator of all economic and democratic norms in the country while YS (Sujana) Choudary is only one of the many front-men who has been financing all the shady deals of the TDP leader.

During 2009 and 2014 elections, YS Sujana Choudhary has been the main financier and was nominated to the Upper House despite pending cases of economic offences against him.

Chandrababu Naidu has insisted that he should be taken into the cabinet, despite reservations from the Centre, and told his cadre that the industrialist should be given a chance as he is the economic backbone of the Party.

YS Sujana Choudary has plundered over Rs 6,800 from the banks, the amount saved by common people, and has diverted the money through shell companies for personal gains.

The ill-gotten wealth was used to belittle democratic institutes and violate democratic norms by buying MLAs from Opposition Party, funding of elections with blatant display of money power and the like, he said.

Sujana Choudhary was a known economic offender, who was patronised by Chandrababu Naidu for his political gains to butcher democracy, override constitutional norms and such people are around the TDP leadership who is the kingpin of the operation, he said.

The economic offences of Sujana Choudhary came to light in 2016 itself and Chandrababu Naidu, through his sources in high places had managed to stall the process of raids.

Had the investigation took place earlier, at least some of the people’s money could have been saved.

The corrupt bank officials, who gave loans despite the negative net worth, against the norms should also be punished, he said and demanded that the defaulter’s Rajya Sabha membership should be cancelled.
