Indraganti Mohana Krishna Endorsed Vulgarity Publicly!

A promo from the OTT dance reality show Aha Dance Icon (Season 2) has sparked backlash after a contestant performed a remix of the legendary song Aha Na Pellanta Oho Na Pellanta from Maya Bazaar, wearing a revealing outfit and using inappropriate dance moves.

The original song, immortalized by Mahanati Savitri’s graceful performance, is considered a cultural classic.

Many feel that this modern version is not just a poor tribute, but a vulgar misrepresentation that disrespects the original.

Critics argue that creativity must not distort or degrade iconic art, as it risks misleading future generations about cultural values.

Shockingly, this controversial performance took place in the presence of filmmaker Indraganti Mohanakrishna, actor Priyadarshi, and actress Roopa, who were guests on the show as a part of their 'Sarangapani Jatakam' promotion.

Instead of objecting, Indraganti Mohana Krishna, who is hailed as as a class director, praised the dance as “new,” effectively endorsing what many see as a tasteless act.

His response has drawn criticism, as people believe such influential figures should stand up for preserving the dignity of classics — not publicly support their vulgar distortion.

The episode is set to stream on April 18, but the promo alone has already triggered strong objections and controversy.
