Naidu Has No Money For Pay Revision!

The Andhra Pradesh government has no money in the kitty to pay even dearness allowance arrears to its employees, leave alone paying the arrears of the Pay Revision Commission (PRC). With great difficulty, it could pay September salary for the staff, just a day before Dasara festival on Thursday.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who had a meeting with the employees’ associations at Velagapudi Secretariat, requested them to extend their cooperation to run the show.

He said he would make payments to the state government employees better than that of Central government employees once the State gets financial stability.

He assured to take a decision over the demands of employees after consultation with the Finance department.

The government had to pay the PRC arrears to a tune of Rs 5,000 crore pending for the period from June 2, 2014 to March 31, 2015. Besides, the employees were also supposed to get the two pending DAs.

Stating that the government, despite facing financial crisis, is taking money from various sources for the implementation of welfare schemes, Naidu said though there was no proper assistance from the Centre at the required time, the State stood top in implementing the welfare schemes.
