He borrowed Rs 134.32 crore in the name of AP Township Infrastructure Development Corporation and Rs 40.34 crore for Nellore Municipal Corporation. Not a single paise was spent for Nellore Municipal Corporation.

With excess external borrowing, Naidu government left no source for the successive government to pay the interest, leave alone repayment or new borrowings.

The Hudco had written a letter to the State government to repay the Rs 189 crore.

Naidu, who claims of 40 years in politics and an able administration did not realise that excess borrowing will leave no scope for the successive government to run the show.
