LVS refuses to take new job, goes on leave!

Senior IAS officer L V Subrahmanyam, who was shifted from the post of chief secretary of Andhra Pradesh all of a sudden on Monday, went on a month’s leave from Wednesday.

Subrahmanyam, who was shunted out to Andhra Pradesh Human Resource Development Institute at Bapatla as its Director-General, did not join the new post. 

On Wednesday, he handed over the charge to in-charge chief secretary Nirabh Kumar and applied for leave till December 6.

There are reports that he might go to New Delhi to lobby for a posting in New Delhi on central deputation. He is left with a service of less than a year. Readmore!

Since he is unlikely to get any major assignment in Andhra, he might prefer to retire in the service in the central government.

Meanwhile, chief minster Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy wrote to the Union department of personnel and training to relieve senior IAS officer Neelam Sawhney from the central deputation and send her back to Andhra cadre.

At present, Neelam is working as a secretary in the Union ministry of social justice and empowerment.

She is most likely to be appointed as full-fledged chief secretary of Andhra Pradesh, sources said.
