More than anybody else, it is Telugu Desam Party general secretary and state IT minister Nara Lokesh, who appears to be more relieved and relaxed with the decision of YSR Congress party MLAs’ decision to continue the boycott of the state assembly session.
Though Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao has written to the YSRC MLAs asking them to attend the session, Lokesh and his father chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu are very much sure that the opposition MLAs won’t attend the House.
Lokesh says it is better if the YSRC MLAs don’t attend the assembly session.
“Even if they come, their only activity is disturbing and disrupting the proceedings in the House. They never raised any subject pertaining to the problems of people during their entire period in the assembly,” he said.
But the fact of the matter is that Lokesh is scared of facing the opposition in the assembly. In fact, he had never faced a strong opposition so far. Since Lokesh still fumbles in giving answers, he would have definitely got exposed had the YSRC MLAs attended the assembly sessions. So, it would be good for him if the YSRC continue to stay outside the House.
Naidu, however, felt that YSRC MLAs should have attended the assembly.
“If they don’t want to come to the House, why should they take monthly salaries of legislators?” he asked.
