A fresh box-office clash is brewing as Lenin, starring Akhil Akkineni, is now officially set to hit theatres on June 26—the same date earlier announced for Peddi.
The big update came from Nagarjuna Akkineni, who recently watched the first cut of Lenin.
Impressed with what he saw, Nagarjuna revealed that the film showcases a completely new version of Akhil.
Calling the film “fantastic,” he expressed strong confidence in the project and urged audiences to mark the release date.
What makes this announcement even more intriguing is the existing buzz around Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, which was already slated for the same day. With both films eyeing June 26, the stage is set for a direct clash.
Lenin features Akhil alongside Bhagyashree and is directed by Murali Kishore. The film is being produced by Sithara Entertainments in association with Manam Entertainments, while Annapurna Studios is presenting it.
Music for the film is composed by Thaman S, and two songs released so far have already generated decent buzz.
With Nagarjuna’s early endorsement and a confident release call, Lenin has thrown down the gauntlet. Now, all eyes are on how this clash with Peddi plays out at the box office.
