Kishore Chandra Deo pins hopes on TDP!

Even as several pre-election surveys by national and local agencies predicted that the Telugu Desam Party would lose badly in the coming general elections, there are some die-hard optimists who are confident that they can win their seats only if they join the TDP.

One such leader is former Union Minister Kishore Chandra Deo who recently resigned from Congress party.

On Tuesday, Kishore met TDP president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu in New Delhi.

After the meeting, he told media that he had met Naidu to discuss his entry into the TDP and confirmed joining the party. Readmore!

“Naidu has welcomed me into the party and I will join the TDP in Amaravati in another 10 days,” he said.

Stating that he had many reasons for leaving Congress, Kishore said he was ready to work hard to dethrone Narendra Modi government at Center. He appreciated Naidu’s fight against Modi and his joining would strengthen the mission.

He said that there was no clarity as to which he constituency he would contest from in the upcoming elections.

"I will contest from the place decided by the high command,” the former Union minister said, adding that he had joined the party without any pre-conditions.
